MRS. CHICKEN - Capturing the cute moment where a mother hen keeps her six tiny chicks close to her. She keeps a look out for dangers and they gaze towards her attentively. This nurturing moment emphasizes the protective bond and close interaction between a hen and her young.
WALKABOUT CHRISTMAS STARS - Everyone flocks to St. George’s for ‘The Christmas Walkabout’. Here my sister is performing in the historic old town square with her dance school. Surrounded by twinkling lights, and enjoyed by the crowd, they are the Christmas stars! The event is pure Christmas magic.
I chose this photo because it reminds me of when my mom and I found four tiny gecko eggs while cleaning a community garden shed. I built them a home, and two hatched. When I set them free, they kept coming back and soon, more geckos started appearing too. It’s like they spread the word that my house was a safe, welcoming place. This photo represents Bermuda’s wildlife and life’s connection.
FESTIVE HERITAGE - This photo of St. George’s Towne Hall in Bermuda beautifully captures the island’s heritage. "Protecting our heritage" I took this photo in the garden close to Waterville building, headquarters for the Bermuda National Trust. I admire how Bermuda architecture and surrounding nature compliment each other. In my opinion that connection reflects the BNT mission in conservation of Bermuda cultural and natural heritage.
"Unique Talents" While at the Plein Air Art Festival, I took this photo because I enjoy art and one of the artists was painting a beautiful scene of Hamilton City. It is meaningful to me because the artist looked focused and relaxed, enjoying his hobby and sharing his vision with the public. Every person has different talents, however they all are inspired by Bermuda beauty.
"Beauty of Wildlife" While at Jobson’s Cove beach, I spotted a heron between branches. I took a photo because the scene was beautiful and peaceful: a patient bird, a big tree and coastline rocks. It was amazing to see it up close. It means to me that everything in nature is connected, helping each other and representing the beauty of wildlife.

I chose this photo because it has the Bermuda Isöands Pipe Band at the opening of Fort Albert. Bermuda Forts are an interesting part of our history and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band has the history of the Bermuda Police and the Bermuda Cadets Pipe Band. Anyway, I like it.

'The Freesia Bouquet'. These lovely flowers grow in the graveyard at my church, giving the people who are buried there a beautiful resting place. These flowers come in the spring, and every year in springtime, my friends and I enjoy their sweet fragrance and beauty.
'Bermuda's Heart': I took this photo at City Hall, right in the 'heart' of the City of Hamilton. It is a representation of friendship; as you can see the two girls are making a heart together, showing that they care about their island, their city, and each other.
I call this photo 'The Unfinished Bridge'. It is interesting that the bridge has old supports from the Bermuda Railway, but the structure is new. I used to wonder what was on the other side of the bridge. Someday, this bridge will be completely finished, and I will finally be able to walk to the other side.

Edge of the World – High Point I saw this exquisite view that makes me feel like I am on the edge of the world. I feel free, relaxed, and happy. The mossy rocks look like furniture and there is a carpet of leaves covering the ground under my feet. I’m grateful to live in Bermuda.
I took this photo of some ducks drinking out of a puddle on a road near my house. On one hand, this shows how Bermuda's wild animals can thrive almost anywhere on the island, however it also serves as a reminder that we need to protect the natural habitats of our animals.
Beek Ruins We went for a walk at High Point Nature Reserve and decided to look at the ruins. The ruins are an old historical house and you can imagine the rest of the building blocks of the house and the life inside it. I found the ruins very intriguing and beautiful.
I feel that this photo represents the richness of Bermuda's heritage as well as showcasing the people of Bermuda. Gombeys are such a part of Bermuda's history and seeing them is something I love about Bermuda's events.

I chose this picture because it captures the moment I was inside a natural cave where pigeons nested, looking out toward the water. The sunset in the distance had transformed the water’s color, and I could see fry leaping as jacks chased them, while birds soared back to their nests for the night.
