Facilities + Access

See the whole picture of half a millennium of history and heritage—all housed in Bermuda’s largest fort.

Commissioner’s House is wheelchair accessible. Enter on the Ground Floor through the Defence Exhibit. Elevator is located in the hallway on the Ground Floor. See guide and map for more details.

There are toilets, including accessible toilets, located on the Lower Grounds and in Commissioner’s House.

Call or visit the Ticket Office for lost property at +441 234 1418 or email info@nmb.bm.

There are refreshments available at Dolphin Quest and picnic tables are located in the Lower Grounds to use if you bring a packed lunch. There are no cafes on-site, but plenty of restaurants in Dockyard (NMB members receive discounts at participating restaurants).

There are many outdoor benches to use to take a rest or take in the spectacular views. Indoor seating is available in all of the rooms of Commissioner’s House and Queen’s Exhibition Hall.

If you are disabled and unable to walk up the hill to Commissioner’s House, the Museum allows vehicles to drive to the House. This must be prearranged with the Museum Office, and all vehicles must park behind the House.  Please call +441 234-1333 or email info@nmb.bm to pre-book vehicle access.  There is also an elevator in Commissioner’s House and disabled parking directly outside the Museum gates and in the nearby parking lot.

The Museum publications are available for purchase at the Ticket Office and online at the shop.

Photography and video recording using handheld equipment is permitted in most galleries for private purposes only. Flash photography is not permitted inside the Museum buildings.

Fill out the Photography and Filming Request form if you wish to use the Museum facilities for commercial filming.

The Lili Bermuda Store

The Lili Bermuda store is located at the front entrance of NMB, opposite the Ticket Office. Lili Bermuda sells fragrances that represent the Island’s natural beauty: from the pure scent of the wind and fresh salt spray of the ocean to its luscious botanicals such as Bermuda cedarwood, spring freesias and juicy loquats.

The store is open 10am to 4pm if there is a ship in port. No entry fee required to visit the store at the Museum.

Dolphin Quest Bermuda

Dolphin Quest is a separate company from NMB. It is a marine sanctuary that welcomes guests to meet a bottlenose dolphin family. Dolphin Quest Bermuda is celebrated for its educational initiatives, endorsement of scientific studies, and active involvement in hands-on conservation advocacy. These important community endeavors are supported through the participation of guests in purposeful dolphin interactive experiences.

Museum admission is required to visit Dolphin Quest. If you have booked and pre- paid for an encounter, your admission fee is included in the price of the dolphin encounter.
