This is a picture of flowers that stands in the sunlight. I chose this photo because the lighting in this picture looks phenomenal and even though the flowers are dark you can still see the color of pink in them. I think it represents the nature in Bermuda because it shows a story how a bee could land to collect some pollen from it or a butterfly. Even a caterpillar might create a cocoon on one of these flowers. What this means to me is thay even the animals in Bermuda are kind of one with each other with how lots of them all use and need the same things to live which shows how Bermuda works as an island.

I chose this photo because it captures a joyful moment with my friends, and I’m the second one from the right. It means a lot to me because it represents how my heritage is part of who I am every day. Being quarter Portuguese, I feel proud to show the warmth, connection, and happiness that reflect my culture. The photo isn’t just about friendship, it’s about how heritage shapes the way we share experiences, celebrate life, and connect with others. I think it fits the theme of heritage perfectly because it shows how identity and culture shine through in simple, meaningful moments.

I chose this photo of my friends in the pool because it perfectly captures a moment of laughter, connection, and pure fun. To me, it represents what friendship is all about—being ourselves, enjoying the present, and creating memories that last forever. The bright colors, smiles, and relaxed atmosphere remind me of summer and how special it is to spend time with people who make you happy. I think it represents the theme of people really well because it shows genuine emotion, togetherness, and the simple joy of being surrounded by friends who feel like family.

I chose this photo of cows in their natural habitat because it captures a calm, natural moment that often goes unnoticed. To me, this picture represents the peaceful side of wildlife and animals simply living their lives in harmony with the land around them. I love how the soft light and open space show the beauty of simplicity in nature. This photo means a lot to me because it reminds me to slow down and appreciate the little things we usually overlook. I think it represents the theme of wildlife perfectly by showing that even familiar animals, like cows, are an important part of the natural world.

I chose this photo because I believe it reflects a beautiful aspect of Bermudian wildlife. The lush greenery in the foreground almost feels two dimensional because of the quantity of indigenous and native flora and fauna displayed in the lower half. The contrast with the crisp, clean blue sky reflects our admirable lack of industrialization which in turn reflects our beautiful wildlife scenery.

I chose this photo because I think it reflects a beautiful part of Bermudian family life. Everyone has had that moment with a family member or friend where they sit out on the porch or balcony relaxing and conversing about the scenery or an aspect of life they struggle with, so I think this picture demonstrates a place where we both relax and develop ourselves in our communities.

I chose this photo because a moped is one of the main ways people travel around Bermuda so it has significant meaning. I have been on the back of many bikes and I really enjoy it so it brings back those memories. It represents people because there are people riding the bike, as the two people ride the bike it reminds me of Bermudas closer community/

I chose this photo because it represents where I came from. There is so much memories that have been created here and seeing them makes me full of joy. I think it represents heritage because heritage is what your family has left for you, like your legacy, there have been generations in this house that have made great memories. This is how it represents heritage.

I took this photo while I was on a walk at Blue Hole. Personally, I really like this photo because of the contrast of colors and the many layers it has. In my opinion, this represents the nature of Bermuda well.

I chose this photo because it reminds me of peaceful evenings at my friend’s house in Bermuda. The glowing windows and the calm sunset sky show how home and nature connect. To me heritage means holding on to special memories and places, and this picture captures that feeling perfectly. Quiet, calm and lasting.
