Donate to NMB

As a non-government and non-for-profit organisation (Charity No. 136), we rely on donations to help support our work. Our commitment to providing historical perspective deepens as we pursue innovation, community outreach, and collaboration.

As we advance our groundbreaking work, we also remain committed to core museum functions that preserve the 80,000+ objects in our collections, our historic grounds and buildings, and our wide-open green spaces. Donations make this work possible—please give generously.

Donate an Object

Much of our collection has been acquired through generous individuals. If you have items such as photographs and objects related to Bermuda’s cultural heritage please contact NMB Curator. Before we accept the item(s) we need to evaluate if it is in line with our collection policy and that we have the necessary resources to properly care and store it— it is not always possible for us to accept all object donations. If we are unable to accept the item(s) we will suggest alternative recipients, so please contact us if you have something to give.

Unfortunately, the Museum cannot appraise the value of the donation or conduct appraisals on private collections. When donating an object please consider that the Museum does not benefit financially from a gift to the historical collection. In fact, by donating an object you are obligating the Museum to care for that object forever, and the related costs could be considerable. For more information contact NMB’s curator.
