I chose this photo because it shows how we built our houses and buildings. It shows how old times were and what kind of house my grandmother lived in. It also shows that wooden houses could withstand many storms. It represents the theme of the building because it shows how we used to make our building structure.
I chose this photo because I thought they were a sweet couple as I walked by. One of the big processes for this photo and getting to take the photo is I had to walk up to them and ask them if I can take their photo for this competition. This took a lot of courage. They were very kind to me when I asked and encouraged me. I want people to know that we have extremely nice people in Bermuda.

Bermuda has a lot of moongates. All of them are beautiful, and each one is special in its own way including this one in Spanish point which I love because it has a lot of plants around it and it has an old door.

It kept on flying away but I got the perfect picture when it was on the flower. This photograph makes me feel happy. This represents Bermuda Nature & Wildlife because Monarch Butterflies are all over Bermuda! The name of this photo is Purple Monarch.
Calm Blue My friends and my mom walked past Daniel's Head. We went to the hill and I took this picture. I want people to see that the water is light blue and the building are light blue too. It reminds me of camping because there is a bridge to get to the houses. This picture makes me feel calm and happy.

This is a Bermuda palmetto tree located in our garden. I find the trunk very interesting as it looks like a "smiley face". It reminds me of how many beautiful things in Bermuda that makes us smile everyday like this amazing sunset.

I still think it's pretty. It makes me feel like I'm taking a trip back to old Bermuda and how structures used to be. It's a Bermudian building that has been here for a while.
In school our teachers tell us about perseverance. This photo reminds me that sometimes we have to go through some dark places but we can keep going and we will be on the bright side again. It is going to be okay!
This is my Lolo (grandpa). He got sick last year and wasn't able to do walks with us. He feels better and we start our family walks again. He's taking a rest here and probably thinking, "When can I go back to sleep". Is that a bird or a fly?

Deep-sea angler fish, sun in its eyes. On our walk back home, I noticed the sun was rising and if I lay on the ground, the sun will fit the eye of the fish. To me it represents creatures that might live beneath our island lighted by the sun above.

Night Heron I was at Pitmans Pond in the nature reserve looking at the turtles. I saw the heron and snuck up and took the picture of him. I think he is happy because he is looking at the turtles and the fish.
I picked turtles because not many people are doing turtles, because they probably don't know about the turtles. Turtles are cool animals in my opinion. I think they were bought for pets, then they were released from their houses, or escaped. They went into the marsh and had babies and now there are tons of them. They are part of the environment now.

I just happen to come across this snail one day after it rained for a bit and I like how peaceful it was coming out of its shell. It reminded me about the beauty of nature and it made me feel peaceful too.
At Hamilton. This is a photo of me. When I go to the ocean it makes me feel calm. I like this photo because I was able to get the grass, sunlight and boat all in the same picture.

The crab had a time living. This reminds me of when my family comes to visit, we like making environments for crabs on the beach. This photo was taken in the afternoon, it had the sub shining directly on the crab shell. It surprised me, because I have never seen a dead crab.
The broken building. The location for this photo was Hamilton Parish. To get this photo I had to climb down stairs, through the bushes and through a wet field. I like how I captured the grass, the darkening of the bushes and the building.
Bermuda houses are special, most specially the roofs. We get our water when it rains and looking at the Bermuda roofs that are made of limestones, it makes me appreciate it and I think they are designed pretty cool.

To get this photo called Woven Woods I climbed a rocky cliff. The silver branches contrasting against the vibrant green coastal plants caught my eye. I like the contrast of the dead branches woven within the living trees. The plants of Bermuda stand strong living in harmony together.
I took this photo at midday from our home in the marina where these huge empty buildings sit high above us. I titled the photo Empty Space because on this cloudless day, the derelict buildings still shine. Although Casemate Barracks no longer houses people, it is always there reminding me about Dockyard’s important history.

I love walking on the railway trail and learning about historic buildings in Bermuda. I chose this building because it represents Bermuda's history and railway but still is an important part of Bermuda today because it marks the railway trail which lots of people enjoy.
