I took this photo while on a walk through spittal pond and i feel that is a perfect representation of bermuda’s wildlife
I chose this photo for the Bermuda buildings category because it felt unique. When I took the photo of the building I thought it was great but needed something extra, so I used the fence as a frame. It represents the theme well because it shows a building and the tools used to create it.
One hundred years ago homestead farming was common in Bermuda. In modern day, farming is not as popular. I admire this man who is milking a goat because I think of farming in this time period as a treasure to Bermuda.
This photo is particularly striking to me due to the contrast between the somber clouds, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse reflecting the sunset, and the white Bermuda roofs. The stepped roofs in the foreground and the lighthouse towering in the background are both representative of Bermuda's unique architecture, and I feel grateful to be able to experience this beauty every day.

I took this photo of an adult longtail in flight at Spittal Pond Nature Reserve near my house. I went out and sat on the cliffs just before sunset, and it ended up being the perfect time to capture some photos of these iconic Bermuda birds. I loved how the light reflected off the top of the longtail, highlighting its head, as well as the defining ocean backdrop.
In this photo we see four mailboxes which are designed like typical Bermudian houses. I enjoy this photo because it displays the beauty of architecture in Bermuda. Also, I appreciate the Bermuda cedar post that was chosen to hold up the miniature houses.

On a recent trip to Southlands, my family and I ventured down to the rocks past Marley Beach. My mother and brother had climbed up the rocks to take pictures of the ocean. I realized that they were standing with a similar pose, and I loved the way that the sunlight was beaming down on them.
Birds are adored in Bermuda. I was fascinated by this Heron holding a crab in its beak. I appreciate this photo as it shows the cycle of life and how different animals prey on each other to survive. Lastly, the background shows the precious natural environment in Bermuda.
This is a picture of my friend taken during study leave last summer. To me this jump really symbolized the brief freedom we felt during this time and our chosen escape during the exam period that all bermudians experience during school .

I chose this photo because I run by this building often and it catches my eye because of its condition. It is being eaten by the park and is the park department building. It is ugly but interesting due to the many layers of color and textures.
Front Street Walkway The location for this photograph is the biggest walkway to Bermuda. On this sunny day it shows just how beautiful island life is. The bright yellow walls, the traffic bumper to bumper and the people walking through either for lunch, work or visiting. One thing that makes this street is our flag that sways in the light breeze overlooking us from above.
Looking through the Gap I want this photograph to show people that not only looking through the lens of my camera but through this moon gate, in between the walls, is so much more to see. When the sun settles it casts a shadow and warmth not only over the moon gate but the walls of the buildings. The shades of the cement on the moon gate where it still looks wet from all the rain gives it a worn look.
Can you touch the top? I hope people that see this photograph can see that it is not just a tree. It is a living piece that has so much character. As you get closer you can see the ridges on it that look like a maze that leads you to the top. The strength of this big, tall tree and roughness of its trunk allows me to see it as more than just a tree.

This is an image of a honeybee pollinating, flowers. While taking this photo, I was afraid of being stung, but I had noticed that the bee was too worried about what it was doing to even bother me. I found it beautiful. I wanted to capture the little world of a bee, because though the flowers and bee seems small to us large humans, the bee sees the flowers much differently.

As a photographer I wanted to capture his greatness and sophisticated look in an image. He is also representing BermudAir, a company that holds a proud image for Bermuda. The image truly says "Proud to be Bermudian" with his pink shirt, the color of our sand.
For this photograph, I aimed to show the peacefulness of the park through the trees. The green branches create a natural frame that leads the eye into the scene. This is a photo of a group of palm trees connected at the stump in Victoria Park. I used them because palm trees are very known on the island, and I thought they looked cool when looking upward.

“Roots of resilience” I took this photo when I was walking down a trail at riddles bay. In capturing this image, I wanted to portray the beauty and resilience of nature, through the lens of mangroves. The twisted root structures and dense foliage symbolize survival and strength in the face of constant environmental challenges. For me, mangroves remind me that although it’s tough sometimes, and especially right now in my last year, I have the strength to push through.
