The George Family descendants of the patriarch Joseph Hilgrove Simons (1874-1948) and directly to his son, Earlington Simons, the father of Mary George.

Taiwo and Kehinde, the daughters of Mary George first attended St Mary’s in 1965 on their first visit to Bermuda from the Uk.  Kehinde and Taiwo were both in the Vestry and Bda Anglican Synod  for two terms each. They regularly read the Sunday scripture lessons and participated at the bookstall for the Annual Church Fair.

Nathan George was confirmed at St Mary’s and was an acolyte from age 11. He frequently read the scripture lessons.

Kayo George, the daughter of Kehinde George was christened and confirmed at St Mary’s. She also served as an acolyte.

Taiwo, Kehinde and Nathan assisted at the Christingle events and Wild Life on Friday nights when it ran.

Taiwo George also assisted with Sunday School with Reem Bushara .

Both Taiwo and Kehinde were part of the Simon’s Family Reunion Committee, which nurtured the link between St Mary’s and the Simons family.

Mary George, their mother attended St Mary’s and was part of the Guild and the Hibiscus Garden Club of which several St Mary’s members were a part of.  They regularly shared their gift of creating beautiful floral displays in the church.
