Somerset Flower Show

John Mello, who immigrated to Bermuda in 1924 from Sao Miguel, Azores is seen here receiving the silver cup for 2nd prize for his flowers at the Somerset Flower Show in May 1971. He also received 2nd prize for vegetables. Mr. Mello was the gardener at “The Parapet”, Somerset Bridge, Bermuda.
