Tues Oct 6th at 11am-12pm	The Hall of History Revisited: New Insights with Graham Foster and Lisa Howie As we celebrate the 17th anniversary of this remarkable mural gracing the Museum’s walls, Lisa and Graham will offer new perspectives on the work, exploring its story and ongoing impact.

Tues Oct 13th at 12pm-1pm	Revisiting Homestead: A Conversation with Artist Meredith Andrews and Lisa Howie Join us for an intimate conversation with world-renowned Bermudian photographer Meredith Andrews as we rehang her photographs from the Homestead exhibition. Meredith will reflect on her work as a photographer and explore the stories that emerge through family portraits, revealing the narratives found both in front of and behind the lens.
Thurs Oct 22nd at 11am-12pm	Inside the Exhibition: Your Pictures. Your Objects. Your Stories. Our History with NMB Curator Join our Head Curator, Dr. Deborah Atwood for a conversation exploring this unique community-sourced exhibition. Showcasing photographs and family stories contributed by the public, the exhibition brings together visual, audio, and digital storytelling.
Sat Oct 24th from 1pm-3pm	Through the Lens: A Photography Workshop with Aderonke Wilson Participants: 10 max; aged 9 and up (must be accompanied by an adult) Timed to coincide with the launch of our annual Youth Grundy Photography Competition on October 1, this workshop will help young photographers develop their skills and prepare submissions for our annual competition. RSVP
Sat Oct 24th from 3-4pm	Museum Mystery: The Art of Artifacts with KANS Become a museum detective and bring the whole family along for the adventure! Explore mystery artifacts, uncover clues, and let your imagination run wild before creating your own artwork inspired by what you discover. A fun, hands-on activity for children and families to enjoy together.

GRAHAM FOSTER

The Hall of History by Bermudian artist Graham Foster presents 500 years of Bermuda’s interaction with the Atlantic World. This incredible mural took nearly 7000 hours to paint over four years, with countless hours of research to ensure historical accuracy. Graham Foster has been a professional artist since 1995. He was educated at The Bermuda College and the Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston. Foster’s paintings are often inspired by Bermuda’s natural environment, architecture and people, rendered in a surreal style, while other works tap dreams and the subconscious and may be more expressionistic.

MEREDITH ANDREWS

Meredith Andrews is a Bermudian photographer and artist who has been creating professional work for almost 20 years. Following the completion of her MA from Goldsmith’s College, London, she focused her attention on telling untold stories of everyday people and examining the culture and society surrounding her. Meredith’s Homestead photography series, exhibited at the National Museum of Bermuda in 2024, celebrated family diversity and brought our community together in a unique way. A selection of these intimate photographs will be displayed again in 2026.

ADERONKE WILSON

Wilson is a self-taught photographer whose work is grounded in curiosity, close observation and an appreciation for beauty in unexpected places. As a student and practitioner of Appreciative Inquiry an approach that draws on strengths and successes to create positive change, when taking pictures she often asks: what is good and where is the beauty in this situation? In 2020, the National Museum of Bermuda invited Wilson to serve as a judge for the Dr. Reg Grundy Annual Youth Photography Competition. She has subsequently hosted photography workshops at the museum and around Bermuda. Her work has been displayed in Bermuda, US and Europe.

Kelly Smith has over 18 years of experience working with children across a variety of childcare and educational settings. She is passionate about nurturing young children and providing meaningful learning opportunities where children and families can experience growth, creativity, connection and the joy of learning. Kelly crafts memorable experiences so that children thrive when they are given opportunities to explore, create, ask questions and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
