This picture represents Bermuda’s history and how the first constructions were built to protect our island. It shows how strong it is, just like when Bermudians get together to help each other after a hurricane or difficult times. I took it from the second floor at the History Museum.

“Sunrise” I took this picture early in the morning as the sun was rising in the east. I like the way the sun was shining behind the St. David’s Lighthouse it makes it look almost 3 dimensional. The cloud formation is very cool too.

I took this photo in St. Georges and I really like it because I saw the reflection of the building in the puddle of water and got down very low to take the picture. The puddle was left over from the rain and i love feeling the rain!

“Moonbeams” Photography requires passion, patience and perseverance. To capture this image I stayed up late, visiting the lighthouse for three nights during the full moon, changing angles by climbing walls or kneeling while holding the camera very still, taking 50 shots before getting beams of light aligned with the moon.

"Morning roof perspectives". I took this picture before school one morning because it shows a limestone Bermuda stepped roof. In the front you will see the traditional roof structure for water collection and in back an example of how the roof is incorporated into traditional Bermudian architecture.

When thinking about Bermuda buildings, limestone comes to mind. I wanted this photo to show people that there were houses built out of wood. I took this picture while driving in Somerset. I like the lines in the photo and the brightness in the middle. I call it 'Wooden Walls'.

I chose this photo because i love the symetry that’s displayed. A viewer has to take a step back and figure out what there looking at. The architecture of the hotel was fascinating and stood out to me when looking up at.

I chose this picture because it captured Bermudas architecture. The Bermudian roof is a staple in the culture here and has been for many years it is such an iconic piece of Bermudian history. It brings much comfort to all Bermudians because it signifies home.

I took this photo of my mom and dad when we went out for a walk in Somerset Nature Reserve. I’m from a mixed family: my dad is a Bermudian Portuguese and my mom is from the Philippines. I like this photo because it shows that Bermuda has diverse families.

“The family that grows together eats healthy” The great thing about Bermuda families is that they can be church, school, or community. Anyone can be your cousin. My family has farmed vegetables, fruits and flowers here for 25 years. While cultivating the land, we become closer and have fun together.

I chose this photograph because it represents my “family” (my closest friends ) and I like the stunning sunset on north shore near my house! Also it’s quite hard to get a photo like that without it ending up blurry, but at least the water was warm and really flat.

Mother-daughter love This picture is of a loving mother helping her daughter do homework. Through these hard times switching from online and in-person teaching. Even if she is tired after work she takes time out to help her daughter accomplish her goals. This picture means a lot because some children don't have the privilege of having a loving mother.

These butterflies are super pretty and they are Bermuda butterflies! They flutter and dance around the colourful Bermuda flowers. I love going on nature walks with my family and seeing the butterflies playing together.

I took this photo after traveling on a boat from Albuoy's Point to Ports Island. We were going to ride bikes on the island trail, have a nature walk, and share a birthday treat. Nature is special to me because I enjoy exploring with my family and like animal life.

This photo represents my passion for the ocean and the amazing sea life within it. I felt a strong connection to this turtle as it looked straight into my eyes. Turtles are a sign of good luck showing that nature in Bermuda will recover from the effects of climate change.

I enjoyed being by the shoreline watching a fleet of longtails overhead. I was totally in awe. As admired them, I noticed many nests in the rocks below. I was delighted that I spotted a longtail that looked comfortable in its nest. It almost felt like living in a dream.

Nature is a beautiful thing, and every now and then you capture an image that you never really thought you could. This is that photo for me. To capture this duck taking flight in such a way requires a lot of patience. You have to wait for the perfect moment.
