I chose this photo because I love this scene. At the time that I took this, I was in a very peaceful and relaxed mood and when I look at this it takes me back to that warm feeling of a misty morning where the sun is reflecting in my eyes as I sit on a bench taking in my surroundings. It represents the theme because to me it is an amazing display of the beauty of Bermuda and how beautiful nature can be.

I chose this photo because my dog completes my family. It’s like he is my brother and best friend, because he is always there and I can always hug him and he won’t refuse. It represents family because Ice, which is his name, has come and made us all happy and made us all complete.

I chose this photo because you can see a wide range of different Bermuda houses and you can see the signature white rooftops. I think the Bermuda white rooftops are very important to Bermuda and special because they collect our water from the rain and it is very cool. I think this represents the theme well because every Bermuda building has a white rooftop so I wanted to take a picture that could showcase as many of them as possible while not being too far away to not be able to see details.

When people say Bermuda, most think of the beaches, the pink sand, the Gombeys, the teals and the pinks, an island seen as paradise. We need to remember the calmer greens the lest vibrant Bermuda which still gives comfort to a lot of people. The dark greens and the slow ombré transitions it’s not always about being the most vibrant. I chose this photo because Bermuda isn’t just some paradise which can be overly colored but if you find the right spots in nature it can be more toned down and relaxed. I think this represents nature very well because you can see the side of nature that most don’t think about when it comes to Bermuda. No palm trees, No beaches just calm. Lots of trees, dark but comforting roads an less contrasting sunset, but still Bermuda nature. This means a lot to me because this sunset area looks like the perfect place to forget about every stress and to just breathe.

I chose this photo because it is a very important building to Bermuda. It is one of the oldest houses in Bermuda still here, me and my siblings drove all the way to St. George’s to take this photo. It was nice to see how some of the older stuff is very similar to how it is now and pretty.

The background scenery and sunrise make this photograph of an abandoned house stand out. This photo represents how something can go from looking clean and peaceful to scary and unstable. “Reaching For The Moon” It’s important to always have a camera with you. When walking late at night I came across this one of a kind building that most would drive by leaving it unnoticed. I came back three more times during the full moon to capture the perfect photo. The structure was a pumping station built in the 1840s out of Bermuda limestone. Now it’s chimney touches the clouds creating a unique angle and photo. The moon in the background created a beautiful pattern in the clouds. - Seri Fisher

I took this photo of a crab spider at the nature reserve at Ferry Reach while walking my dog. A common species found in Bermuda, its proper name is a Gasteracantha or a spiny-backed orb-weaver. I love them for two reasons. Firstly, if you get up close, the markings on their back look like a spooky Halloween face. Secondly, they often weave their webs overnight at around head height.
