From Shipwrecks to Sovereignty: Telling Bermuda’s Story

The National Museum of Bermuda Press is the publishing arm of the National Museum of Bermuda (NMB), committed to telling the Island’s history through engaging, well-researched publications. Originally established in the 1980s as the Bermuda Maritime Museum Press, it has grown alongside the Museum—renamed the National Museum of Bermuda in 2009 to reflect its wider historical scope.

NMB Press publishes original works on subjects including shipwrecks, seafaring, enslavement, military history, and island life. Its titles—developed in collaboration with leading scholars and experts—offer fresh perspectives on Bermuda’s past and its global connections.

Today, NMB Press serves both academic and general readers, making Bermuda’s history accessible, informative, and relevant. Explore our selection of books and discover the many stories that have shaped the island and its people.
