Since 2020, I’ve been guiding yoga classes at the National museum Bermuda and I love the wonderful community who have joined me. Being able to provide yoga at a historical landmark with so many space options is amazing. We have been fortunate to be in the open air near the dolphins, to the quiet eclectic Queens Hall and sometimes on the porch of the Commissioners House, where we admire such breathtaking views of Bermuda.
I enjoy yoga because of its holistic wellness benefits of improving our flexibility, balance, posture and breathing. It is also a great way to nurture the mind, body, and soul. This practice allows us to connect with ourselves on a deeper level while still having fun.
I offer 3 free classes per year: Family Day during Black History Month in February, Saturday Mother’s Day in May and in October for Breast Cancer Awareness. This year, I collaborated with Shanell Vaughn for a Pink Full Moon Sound Bath & Yoga session in the Keep. It was an amazing opportunity to experience the evening skies, rise of the moon and soothing vibrations of sound bells between the walls of the museum.
I am grateful to support the museum and its members with yoga classes and for the knowledge I gained from completing their Ambassador course last year. Merging the two has been a unique opportunity to honor the legacy of the museum while bringing peace & harmony to the present.
Thank you
