Amirah Trott – The Bermuda High School for Girls

I chose this photo because I believe it accurately represents the subject of this photo, my little sister. To me, this photo displays her resilience and bravery as she sets off to compete in the Bermuda Optimist Nationals. In this competition, she won an award for helping a fellow sailor who capsized off of his boat, despite the fact that it took up time in her race. I believe it represents the theme I chose because she is a great example for how, as a community, we should have each other’s backs.
