Bethany Cooze – Bermuda High School

I chose this photo because it is a snapshot in time which is very significant to me. The photo displays the sunset I watch every morning; the sun which allows for all of Bermuda’s nature to thrive, surrounded by the silhouette of some of Bermuda’s endemic trees – the cedar and palm. If you inspect closer, you can see the man-made boats which vastly contrast the nature, but simultaneously coincide.
To me, the rising sun is full of meaning as it represents a new beginning. Not only does the sun keep out nature alive, but keeps us going in life as dawn brings hope, brightness, and excitement.
