On a drive to Clearwater Beach, I was in awe to see grass fields and parts of the runway covered in yellow. This is a photo of a Bermuda Monarch caterpillar crawling around the stem of a tropical milkweed plant. Bermuda Monarchs weren't always here as they began to surface around their migration season to the South and stuck around. I chose this photo because although the Bermuda Monarch is not endemic to Bermuda they are still a huge part of the Bermudian ecosystem and they are truly beautiful. Milkweed can be found all around the island due to the work of many people such as my mother. However, in recent years bushes have grown and grass has been cut so please plant some milkweed!

The sky at dusk is often captivating in Bermuda. This photograph captured a mesmerising sunset over the ocean with variations of flaming colours in gold and orange. The reflections on the calm water creates a serene setting. The outline of the rocks and sailboat stands out against the background of the sky and the stillness of the water. Boating is a favourite pastime of Bermudians and to see this lone sailboat soaking in the glorious atmosphere made me want to transport myself there. The natural scenery reminds me of living in the moment and being carefree.

Gombey troops in Bermuda are like family. They are known to bring the community together in celebration. Their vibrance and energy flows to the crowds and radiates joyfulness. The focal point of this photograph is the Gombey striking a spirited pose with the support of drummers in the background. The special handmade costume, the dancing and the music has historical significance. This image was taken at Harbour Nights which is a street festival that showcases Bermuda's culture. To see everyone together having fun makes me smile.

I love that the moongate is a symbol of luck in Bermuda. I chose this vantage point to emphasise the architecture of the welcoming stairs and the round shape of the moongate. Locals say that the archway brings prosperity and joy to all who pass under it making a wish. The bright light in the distance shining upon the moongate and the little boy creates a silhouette. I hope that people who view this photograph wonder and explore the possibilities.

This photo shows how a single event brings all Bermudians together as a family. This photo was taken on "the 24th of May." I chose this photo because of how the gombey was able to get down like this. This photo means a lot to me because of the culture behind the gombeys. This also shows how proud Bermudians are of their culture.

This photo was chosen because of the vibrance it shows in Bermuda's sunsets. I personally love to take photos of the sunset, to me this is the best time to take photos. Having a love for taking photos of the "Golden Hour" I always end up showing a piece of Bermuda's nature, like for example this evergreen tree set in my neighborhood; so I do believe it represents the theme well.

This photo is something I took around a year ago. I remember having to take it from afar because the bird kept scaring me. It kept flying away and right over my head and landed right next to me each time I tried to take a picture up close. I find this picture to fit the Bermuda Nature theme as nature is commonly depicted as something we see almost every day. And though we see these birds all the time, we don't appreciate their majestic stature and beauty.

Sundown on challenger challenger bank. I had just finished fighting a big yellowfin tuna for over an hour. Imagine you’re there with me. You look around and we’re the only boat in sight and the sun dipping under the horizon, bermuda just a speck in the distance. I feel like this photo fully encapsulates bermuda heritage and my personal love for Bermudas nature and offshore wonders. This picture fuels my burning desire to always long to be on the the ocean.

I choose this photo because I enjoy how the rain beaded off the flower and how it wasn't the main focus on the photo but still was still noticeable, It means you can focus on both the beauty of the flower and the water on top of it without taking away from the overall image. I think it represents the beauty of Bermuda by highlighting both the rain we get that allows the plants and growth to be the way it is
