Gombey troops in Bermuda are like family. They are known to bring the community together in celebration. Their vibrance and energy flows to the crowds and radiates joyfulness. The focal point of this photograph is the Gombey striking a spirited pose with the support of drummers in the background. The special handmade costume, the dancing and the music has historical significance. This image was taken at Harbour Nights which is a street festival that showcases Bermuda’s culture. To see everyone together having fun makes me smile.
