In this three-volume book, the late Dr. A. C. Hollis Hallett brings together all the early government and other records of Bermuda, which he read and transcribed word for word from the original preserved records. Volume I covers the years from 1612–1669, with its chapters arranged chronologically according to the governors of the period. Volume II deals with 1669–1684, with the narrative of the development of Bermuda continuing through the progression of governors, and concluding with passenger lists and shipping returns for several years dating from 1656. Volume III presents all the personal legal documents covering the scope of the whole book (1612–1684).
